 A dysfunction of the thyroid gland can result in:

- Hypothyroidism (Hashimoto's disease, post surgical, post viral infection, etc)
- Hyperthyroidism (Graves disease, multinodular goiter, medication induced, etc)
- Thryoid nodules
- Thryoid cancer

Dr. Malik can perform thyroid biopsies under ultrasound guidance, also known as fine needle aspirations, in her office.
